| 2025-07-09 | The EPV-Calculator was updated to version 3.4. The reason was that in some unusual scenarios with very low numbers the lower 95% confidence interval for positive EPV could incorrectly become 100%. Similarily the upper 95% confidence interval could in similar circumstances become 0%. The error was easily spotted since the point estimate for EPV was not included in the presented 95% confidence interval. This error is now fixed. The online calculator calculates EPV for a single scenario each time. An Excel file was uploaded that can calculate EPV for multiple scenarios simultanously. The Excel file can also merge all scenarios (publications) when a meta-analysis is done. The Excel file can be downloaded on the page for the EPV-Calculator. |

At the same time our old chat bot (based on IBM Watson technology) is retired and replaced with a new AI-chat bot based on GPT able to answer almost any question. The old chat bot worked like a very advanced search engine guding users to where the answer was. This new chat bot knows the answer and replies directly. Using does not cost you anything. |
