Creativity
Creativity is a personal trait that is very important in research. Our ability to be creative can be influenced. Below is Ken Robinson’s classic TED talk, which describes how a major challenge for the current education system is to avoid killing children’s creativity. He emphasizes, among other things, the idea that you are unlikely to contribute new ideas if you are not prepared to be wrong.
