Most information on this website is provided in Swedish. This website provides information about common research principles and methods. The methods described are both principles and methods in statistics as well as methods used in qualitative research. A section describing etiologic predictive value (EPV) is in English.

The department of primary health care at the university of Gothenburg offers courses in basic research methods. These courses are presented in this website. The courses are aimed for doctors, nurses and other personnel working in the health care system in the western part of Sweden. The idea is to gather people interested in studying research methods from the western part of Sweden. Hopefully this will stimulate contacts between people who would not meet elsewhere.

There are three different courses, all in introductory level. The first (1-5p) is an introduction to quantitative and qualitative research methods. After this course one may choose between a course in quantitative research methods (6-10p) or a course in qualitative research methods (6-10p). Furthermore we offer one day courses in managing references using the computer programme GetARef. The courses are given in Swedish.
